Unified live chat: read all your comments in one place

ApexStream's unified chat panel collects comments from your connected platforms into one place, so you can follow the conversation without switching between YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch tabs while you're live.

What the unified chat panel shows

When you go live from Web Studio, open the Chat panel from the right-hand sidebar. Comments from every platform that supports chat will appear in a single feed, each labeled with the platform it came from.

  • YouTube β€” comments from your live broadcast.
  • Facebook β€” comments from your Facebook Page live stream.
  • Twitch β€” messages from your Twitch chat.

The panel shows the viewer's name, the platform, and the message. New comments scroll in as they arrive.

Who can use unified chat

Unified chat is available on the Hobby, Creator, Scale, and Enterprise plans. It is not included on the Free plan.

How to open chat during a stream

  1. Enter Web Studio and start your session.
  2. Click Go Live so your platforms are broadcasting.
  3. Click the Chat icon in the right-hand sidebar.
  4. Comments will begin appearing as viewers send them.

Good to know: The Free plan does not include live chat. If you are on Free and want to read comments inside ApexStream, upgrade to Hobby or higher.
