Stream to a scheduled YouTube event
If you already created a live event in YouTube Studio, you can stream into it from ApexStream instead of creating a new broadcast automatically.
What you need first
Create the event in YouTube Studio before connecting it to ApexStream. YouTube will give you a stream URL and stream key for that event.
Connect the scheduled event
- In your ApexStream dashboard, go to Integrations or open the Channels panel in Web Studio.
- Choose YouTube and select the option to stream to an existing event or use a manual key.
- Paste the stream URL and stream key from YouTube Studio.
- Give the connection a friendly name, like "YouTube — Product Launch Event."
- Save the connection.
Go live into the event
- Enter Web Studio or start your encoder.
- Make sure the YouTube event connection is enabled in the Channels panel.
- Click Go Live in ApexStream.
- In YouTube Studio, click Go Live on the event to start sending it to your audience.
Good to know: Streaming to a scheduled event does not change the title or description you set in YouTube Studio. Update those details in YouTube before you go live.
