Stream to a scheduled YouTube event

If you already created a live event in YouTube Studio, you can stream into it from ApexStream instead of creating a new broadcast automatically.

What you need first

Create the scheduled live event in YouTube Studio first. You do not need to copy a stream URL or stream key for this flow — ApexStream uses your connected YouTube channel and the event you pick in Web Studio.

Choose the scheduled event in Web Studio

1. Make sure your YouTube channel is already connected in Integrations.
2. Open Web Studio, then open the Channels panel.
3. Click Edit on your YouTube channel.
4. Open the Event dropdown and pick the scheduled event (or create a new event if you want a fresh one).

Go live into the event

1. In the Channels panel, make sure your YouTube channel is switched on.
2. Click Go Live in ApexStream.
3. ApexStream binds to the scheduled event and transitions the broadcast live for you — you do not also need to press Go Live in YouTube Studio.

Good to know: Streaming to a scheduled event does not change the title or description you set in YouTube Studio. Update those details in YouTube before you go live.
