Stream to a custom RTMP destination
Not every platform offers one-click sign-in. If you have a server URL and stream key from any RTMP-compatible service, you can add it to ApexStream as a Custom RTMP destination and include it in your multistreaming setup alongside your other platforms.
Add a custom RTMP destination
- In your dashboard, open Integrations.
- Select the Custom RTMP tile from the list of platforms.
- On the platform you're streaming to, start setting up a live broadcast on their end and copy its server URL and stream key.
- Back in ApexStream, give the destination a Friendly Name, then fill in the RTMP Server URL (it must start with
rtmp://orrtmps://) and the Stream Key. - Click Add Connection. ApexStream tests the connection before adding it.
You can rename a custom destination any time from Integrations. If the server URL or stream key ever changes, remove the destination and add it again with the new details.
Go live to it from Web Studio
- Open Web Studio.
- Open the Channels panel and switch on your custom destination alongside anything else you want live.
- Click Go Live — your feed streams to that server along with every other destination you've switched on.
Good to know: The number of destinations you can have live at the same time depends on your plan. See How destinations work in ApexStream for those numbers.
