Stream to a Facebook Profile or Group

Stream to a Facebook Profile or Group

In addition to Facebook Pages, you can stream to a Facebook Profile or Group from ApexStream. The setup is similar to a Page, but the permissions come from your personal account.

Connect a Facebook Profile or Group

  1. In your ApexStream dashboard, go to Integrations.
  2. Click Connect next to Facebook.
  3. Log into the Facebook account that admins the Profile or Group.
  4. When Facebook asks where to stream, choose Profile or select the Group you want.
  5. Grant the requested permissions so ApexStream can create live videos on your behalf.

Requirements

  • You must be an admin of the Group.
  • Facebook may require the Profile or Group to be eligible for live video. New or restricted accounts sometimes cannot go live.
  • Group live videos may have different visibility settings than Page live videos.

Go live

  1. Enter Web Studio or start your encoder.
  2. Enable the Facebook Profile or Group destination in the Channels panel.
  3. Click Go Live.

Good to know: Facebook's permissions can expire. If the destination shows disconnected, reconnect it from the Integrations page.
