Re-stream a past recording

Re-streaming lets you broadcast a recording from your Media Library again, either immediately or at a scheduled time. This is useful for replaying a popular stream or airing older content to a new audience.

How to re-stream a recording

1. Go to Dashboard → Media Library.
2. Find the recording you want to broadcast again.
3. Click Schedule Live Stream (sometimes labeled Restream in the recording actions).
4. Fill in the broadcast details:
   • Title
   • Description
   • Thumbnail
   • Destinations
   • Start time or Go Live Now
5. Click Schedule Live Stream.

What happens next

If you scheduled a future time, the broadcast appears in the Scheduled tab and goes live automatically. If you chose Go Live Now, the broadcast starts within a few moments.

Good to know: Re-streaming a recording does not create a new live event from Web Studio or OBS. It uses ApexStream's simulated-live scheduler to play the saved recording through your selected destinations.
