My comments/chat aren't showing

If the unified chat panel is open but you do not see comments, work through these checks in order.

Check these, in order

Are you on a paid plan? Live chat is available on Hobby, Creator, Scale, and Enterprise. It is not included on the Free plan.

Are you actually live? Comments only appear once your stream is broadcasting and each platform has started receiving video. If you just clicked Go Live, give each destination 10–20 seconds to initialize.

Is the platform connected and enabled? Open the Channels panel and confirm the destination is connected and toggled on. A disconnected channel will not send comments.

Does the platform support chat in ApexStream? YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch comments can be read in the unified panel. Other platforms do not feed into chat today.

Is the chat panel open? Click the Chat icon in the right-hand sidebar. If it was closed, comments will resume appearing once it is open again.

Try refreshing the page. If your internet connection dropped briefly, the chat socket may not have reconnected. Refreshing your browser tab while live typically restores it within a few seconds.

Good to know: Some platforms throttle or delay chat data. A short delay of a few seconds between a viewer posting and the comment appearing in ApexStream is normal.
