How long recordings are kept (retention by plan)

How long ApexStream keeps a recording in your library depends on your plan. Cloud recording of new broadcasts is a Hobby-plan-and-up feature, but every plan has a retention window that governs how long a recording stays in your account before it's automatically removed:

• Free — 7 days
• Hobby — 15 days
• Creator — 15 days
• Scale — 30 days
• Enterprise — 365 days

Retention counts from when a recording finishes processing, not from when you last watched it. Once a recording passes its plan's window, it's deleted automatically — so if you want to keep something longer, download it before it expires.

Good to know: Each recording's countdown is locked in based on the plan you were on when you made it. If you downgrade later, recordings you already have keep the window they started with — only recordings you make after the downgrade use the new, shorter window.
