What this means in practice
- Free is watermarked, capped at 720p, and doesn't include cloud recording β it's meant for trying ApexStream out, not for a permanent setup.
- Hobby removes the watermark, adds cloud recording, and lets you stream longer. If you go live through Web Studio you're still capped at 720p on Hobby β streaming at 1080p means connecting an external encoder like OBS.
- Creator is where vertical (9:16) streaming and more simultaneous destinations open up, alongside priority support. Web Studio also moves up to 1080p here. Going even higher, to 4K, still needs OBS or another external encoder β Web Studio tops out at 1080p on every plan.
- Scale adds more destinations, longer streams, and a full month of recording retention for teams streaming more often.
- Enterprise raises every limit further (including up to 50 simultaneous destinations and a year of retention) and is provisioned around your organization's needs β reach out to ApexStream's sales team to set one up.
Good to know: Cloud recording isn't included on the Free plan β recording your streams starts on Hobby and up.
