Add music and voiceover
Last updated July 24, 2026
You can add music tracks and voiceover layers to a podcast episode directly in Podcast Studio.
Add music
- Open an episode in Podcast Studio.
- Open the Music panel in the editor to browse tracks.
- Choose a track from the library. Tracks come from Freesound and are not guaranteed royalty-free β check each track's license before commercial use.
- Drag the track onto the timeline.
- Adjust the volume and position. The editor can automatically duck the music when speech is detected.
Add a voiceover
- In the timeline toolbar, click Voiceover.
- Use your microphone to record a new narration track.
- The recording appears as a new layer on the timeline.
- Trim, move, and adjust the volume as needed.
Use music as an intro or outro
Place a music track at the very beginning or end of the episode. You can fade it in or out so it blends smoothly with the main content.
Good to know: Library music comes from Freesound and is not guaranteed royalty-free. Check each track's license before commercial use. If you upload your own music, make sure you have the rights to use it.
