Add music and voiceover

You can add music tracks and voiceover layers to a podcast episode directly in Podcast Studio.

Add music

1. Open an episode in Podcast Studio.
2. Open the Music panel in the editor to browse tracks.
3. Choose a track from the library. Tracks come from Freesound and are not guaranteed royalty-free — check each track's license before commercial use.
4. Drag the track onto the timeline.
5. Adjust the volume and position. The editor can automatically duck the music when speech is detected.

Add a voiceover

1. In the timeline toolbar, click Voiceover.
2. Use your microphone to record a new narration track.
3. The recording appears as a new layer on the timeline.
4. Trim, move, and adjust the volume as needed.

Use music as an intro or outro

Place a music track at the very beginning or end of the episode. You can fade it in or out so it blends smoothly with the main content.

Good to know: Library music comes from Freesound and is not guaranteed royalty-free. Check each track's license before commercial use. If you upload your own music, make sure you have the rights to use it.
