A clip is stuck processing β what to do
Last updated July 24, 2026
AI Clips are generated by sending your recording to our AI clipping service. Most clips finish within a few minutes, but occasionally a job can get stuck.
Normal processing times
- Processing usually takes a few minutes.
- Longer recordings take longer.
What to do if a clip doesn't finish
- Wait at least 15 minutes. Processing speed depends on the source length and current queue load.
- Refresh the AI Clips page for the recording.
- Check whether the recording itself finished processing and has a playable video.
- If the clip is still stuck after 30 minutes, try generating clips again from the same recording.
What happens to my AI minutes?
Minutes are reserved when the clip job starts. Known AI failure statuses refund those reserved minutes automatically. If a job times out (after about an hour), it can be marked failed without an automatic refund. If minutes disappear after a failed job, contact support@apexstream.co.
Good to know: You can't cancel an in-progress clip job from the dashboard. A recording can only have one AI Clips job in progress at a time. Starting a new job after a failed one reserves minutes again.
