A clip is stuck processing — what to do

AI Clips are generated by sending your recording to an external AI clip engine. Most clips finish within a few minutes, but occasionally a job can get stuck.

Normal processing times

  • Short recordings (under 30 minutes): usually 1–3 minutes.
  • Longer recordings (1+ hours): can take 5–15 minutes.
  • 4K or very long recordings: may take longer.

What to do if a clip doesn't finish

  1. Wait at least 15 minutes. Processing speed depends on the source length and current queue load.
  2. Refresh the AI Clips page for the recording.
  3. Check whether the recording itself finished processing and has a playable video.
  4. If the clip is still stuck after 30 minutes, try generating clips again from the same recording.

What happens to my AI minutes?

Minutes are reserved when the clip job starts. If the job ultimately fails, the reservation is released automatically, so a stuck or failed job should not consume your monthly AI minutes allowance.

Good to know: You can't cancel an in-progress clip job from the dashboard. If a job is truly stuck, generating a new clip request from the same recording usually creates a fresh job without being charged twice.
