Podcast download analytics
Podcast Studio tracks downloads and listeners for episodes served through your RSS feed and embed player. The data appears in the Podcast Studio Analytics page.
Where to find podcast analytics
- Open Podcast Studio.
- Click Analytics in the sidebar or from the quick-actions grid.
- Select a show from the dropdown.
- Choose a time range: 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days.
What the analytics show
- Total Downloads β the number of times episodes were downloaded or played.
- Downloads over time β a line chart of daily downloads for the selected range.
- Platform breakdown β which apps or browsers listeners used (such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or a web browser).
How tracking works
When a listener plays an episode from your RSS feed, the request goes through ApexStream's tracking endpoint first, then redirects to the audio file. Bot traffic is filtered out so the numbers reflect real listeners as closely as possible.
Good to know: Download numbers can take a few minutes to update because events are processed in batches. If you just published an episode, check back later for the first batch of stats.
