Invite a guest to Web Studio

This article shows you how to bring a remote guest into your broadcast from Web Studio. Guests don't need an ApexStream account or any software β€” just a link.

Steps to invite a guest

  1. Inside Web Studio, open the Sources panel in the sidebar.
  2. At the top of the panel, click Copy Invite Link. ApexStream generates a secure invite link and copies it to your clipboard (you'll see a Copied! confirmation and a toast that says "Invite link copied to clipboard!").
  3. Send that link to your guest however you'd normally reach them β€” chat, email, text.
  4. Your guest opens the link in their own browser. It takes them to a pre-flight screen where they preview their camera and microphone, enter their Display Name, and click Join as Guest.
  5. Once they join, your guest lands in the Green Room to wait backstage until you bring them on stage. See "The Green Room (backstage) explained" for what happens next.

The Sources panel header shows how many guests you've invited against your plan's limit (for example, "3 / 5"), and the button is disabled once you're at capacity.

Good to know: Invite links expire. If a guest opens an old link, they'll see "Invite Link Expired" and need a fresh one from you β€” copy a new link from the Sources panel and resend it.
