Can I stream vertically for TikTok/Reels/Shorts?
Yes. Vertical (9:16) streaming is supported on the Creator, Scale, and Enterprise plans. It is not available on the Free or Hobby plans.
What vertical streaming does
Vertical streaming outputs a 9:16 portrait feed, which is the native format for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. When you enable it, your Web Studio canvas and layouts adjust to fit the portrait orientation.
How to enable it
- Open Web Studio.
- In the pre-flight or settings area, choose the Portrait (9:16) output option.
- Arrange your camera, guests, and overlays for the vertical frame.
- Go live as usual.
Plan requirement
- Free / Hobby — landscape only.
- Creator / Scale / Enterprise — portrait and landscape supported.
Good to know: Make sure any platforms you stream to support portrait live video. Even if ApexStream sends a 9:16 feed, the destination platform may letterbox or crop it if it does not support vertical live streams.
