Can I stream in 1080p or 4K?

The resolution you can stream at depends on your plan and where you're streaming from.

By plan

| Plan | Web Studio max | OBS/encoder max | |---|---|---| | Free | 720p | 720p | | Hobby | 720p | 1080p | | Creator | 1080p | 4K | | Scale | 1080p | 4K | | Enterprise | 1080p | 4K |

Web Studio (the browser studio) caps out at 1080p on Creator and above, and 720p on Free and Hobby. Streaming software like OBS can push higher: 1080p on Hobby, and 4K on Creator, Scale, and Enterprise.

Note that not all destinations accept 4K — YouTube does, but most other platforms deliver 1080p or lower. ApexStream automatically adapts your stream to what each platform can handle.

Good to know: Your plan's resolution limit is enforced live. If you try to stream at a resolution above your plan's cap, ApexStream will stop the broadcast and show an error. Upgrading gives you access to higher quality.
