Add live captions
Last updated July 24, 2026
Live captions make your stream more accessible and help viewers watch without sound. Web Studio can burn captions directly into the broadcast output.
Enable captions
- Enter Web Studio.
- Open the Captions sidebar panel.
- Turn on AI Live Captions.
- Select your spoken language and caption size (S, M, or L).
How captions work
Web Studio transcribes the host microphone only in real time. Guest voices are not captioned. Captions appear near the bottom of the screen a short moment after words are spoken.
Caption styles
You can customize:
- language
- caption size (S, M, or L)
Position, font colors, background boxes, and capitalization options are not separate controls.
Plan availability
Live captions are available in Web Studio when your browser supports speech recognition (Chrome or Edge recommended). There is no Creator plan gate in the product today.
Good to know: Captions are burned into the video, so they appear on every platform you stream to. They are not a separate subtitle track that viewers can toggle.
