Add a countdown timer

A countdown timer is a great way to build anticipation before a scheduled stream starts. You can add one as an on-screen overlay in Web Studio.

Add a countdown overlay

1. Enter Web Studio.
2. Open the Graphics panel from the right-hand sidebar.
3. Choose Countdown or Timer.
4. Set the target time or duration.
5. Pick a style that matches your broadcast.
6. The timer appears on your canvas and in the live output.

Customize the look

You can usually adjust:

• the target time or duration
• colors and font style
• position on screen
• whether it shows hours, minutes, seconds, or just minutes

When to use it

• Starting soon screen before you go live.
• Breaks between segments.
• Counting down to a special announcement or giveaway.

Good to know: The countdown is burned into the broadcast, so viewers on every platform see the same timer.
