Connect vMix / Ecamm / other encoders

Any encoder that supports custom RTMP can send a stream to ApexStream. The setup is the same whether you use vMix, Ecamm Live, Wirecast, or another broadcast tool.

What you need from ApexStream

1. In your dashboard, go to Streams and create or open the stream you want to broadcast to.
2. Open the stream (or go to Settings → Stream Setup) and copy the full Ingest Server address and Stream Key from the connection panel. The station card only shows a masked key, not the server URL.

Configure your encoder

1. Open your encoder's output or streaming settings.
2. Choose Custom RTMP or RTMP Server as the destination.
3. Paste the Server URL from ApexStream into the server/URL field.
4. Paste the Stream Key from ApexStream into the stream key field.
5. Set your output resolution and bitrate to match your plan limits.
6. Start streaming from your encoder.

ApexStream receives the feed and fans it out to whichever destinations you have enabled.

Good to know: ApexStream doesn't have a per-encoder integration — it exposes a single custom-RTMP ingest point. That means any encoder that can output RTMP will work, including hardware encoders, production switchers, and mobile streaming apps.
